Knitting for Fun and Warmth

Posted on

Maxine's go to knit is always a teacosy and last week she cheered herself up with a beautiful Noro creation. It is the perfect way to see the colours in one ball of Noro. On the right you can see one of the snowflake teddies trying to get in to the picture!

Recently Rosie has finished a pair of Rachel Coopey's Pennycress socks, lovely to knit and beautiful to look at:

Then a lady appeared in the shop with this beautiful twinset made from the Jamieson and Smith 2ply Jumperweight. It is gorgeous, so well made and even the seams were perfect. Lots of work but what a result:

On our shop model we have a few items which would be a lot quicker to knit but just as warm.

It is time for the chunky knits to make a reappearance and among our favourites is Paloma. Here the shrug is knitted in red Paloma as is the pale blue ribbed scarf and the plain wrap is a rectangle of Freya in stocking stitch.

Easy, toasty knits, labour intensive 4ply garments, pretty socks and fun colourful comfort knitting, we love them all.
