This weekend, Maxine and I managed to visit the Kaffe Fassett exhibition which has been at the American Museum in Bath all year. Yes, ALL YEAR and we only managed to rock up a few days before the end but how glad we were we hadn't missed the event.
Whatever your opinion of Kaffe's work it is impossible not to smile as you enter. The bold colour combinations just work, in fact they sing.
A close friend recently visited one of his exhibitions and said the only way she could describe it was; "a sheer joy" and I have to agree.
There was a wall of quotes which didn't photograph well but we agreed with all his sentiments:
Maxine was burgled last week and has been feeling shaken, I strained my back and was limping round the exhibition but we left feeling much more cheerful and inspired to drag out our stashes and play with the colours.
Thank you Kaffe x
